As part of the Safe City project, representatives of the Boston Police Department District C-6 have been meeting with all of the retailers from the South Bay Mall on a monthly basis. Among some of the issues discussed at these meetings are crime statistics, crime trends and ways to improve the overall security for the mall, its patrons and their employees.

Also, as a part of Boston's Safe City project, it is our hope to install a camera system similar to the one set up in the Minneapolis Safe Zone, which links back to the city's 1st Precinct. The impact that these cameras have had on the downtown area of Minneapolis is remarkable and certainly one that we hope to replicate in the South Bay Mall.
